Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Consultation
A consultation
with a Plastic Surgeon can help you decide what
is best for you, not only aesthetically, but also
physically and psychologically. At East Lake Plastic
Surgery Center, we want you to be a well informed
and satisfied patient.
During
your initial consultation, you will spend about
1-1 ½ hours with Dr. Moraitis. He will
review your medical history, evaluate your condition,
and discuss your goals with you. Photographs will
be taken and surgical information will be reviewed
with you. You will be presented with options that
range from minimally invasive procedures such
as anti-aging therapy to more comprehensive plastic
surgery. Together, you will select a treatment
option based on your goals and concerns, your
anatomy and lifestyle. Dr. Moraitis will answer
any questions you may have about your procedure,
including any risks, the type of anesthesia used,
where the procedure will be performed, and what
to expect in the recovery period.
Our
Registered Nurse will educate you about the surgical
process and review your preoperative instructions.
You will also be provided with a customized information
packet for you to take home.
About
one week before your surgery, you will have a
pre-operative visit with Dr. Moraitis. He will
review any questions you may have relating to
the surgery or the operative permits. Our Registered
Nurse will review pre- and post- surgery instructions
with you and educate you on your recovery process.
If you plan to have a friend or relative assist
you at home for the first several days postoperatively,
we recommend that they come with you for this
visit. It will help prepare them to assist you
in your recovery and give them the opportunity
to ask any questions they may have.
Throughout
your postoperative period, you will be followed
closely by both Dr. Moraitis and his nurse. Both
will be available for your needs or concerns 24
hours a day. You will be seen frequently in office
by Dr. Moraitis until your healing process is
complete. Dr. Moraitis and his nurse Alicia will
also call you at home during your initial recovery
period to follow your progress. Routine follow-up
visits will be scheduled throughout your first
postoperative year. Subsequent visits may be scheduled
as needed.
Each
of your visits are scheduled for the appropriate
amount of time on an individual basis to ensure
that you are not rushed in and out and have the
opportunity to have all of your questions answered
by the doctor. We want your plastic surgery experience
to be a positive and satisfactory process.
